Purpose?

Should this really exist? I sort of like the idea of expanding this category and possibly even creating another for Xen. But I'd like to hear more on this. --Deathmonkey7 03:30, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

There's still a plethora of vehicles and HECU related articles that haven't been added, such as the Harrier, Abrams, LAV, Apache, etc. -Deathmonkey7 03:56, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Good point, kinda forgot about all of that stuff. Also some of the weapons are reserved to just the military (they weren't native the BMRF). With all of that stuff I could see this page having a use--FireTime 04:34, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

One thing that I think we need to take into account is how do users get to these category pages. One thing that Wikipedia often uses is a footer table that links together similar items see the table at the bottom of this page titled "Rush video games"--FireTime 04:41, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

I've looked into creating the "Navbox" but it wont have the same funcality as the ones on wikipedia (we will have to maually create the content of the boxes because we can't do conditional formatting without having Parser_function_extensions installed into the wiki) I'll start creating the template page. Inclusion

Did I forget any HECU related articles? A lot of the weapons I left out because they're found in Black Mesa before the HECU even show up. --Deathmonkey7 07:26, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

hm.... what about the Mk2 Grenade. I don't think there is any concrete evidence in game but in real life the only people who can legally have grenades is the military.--FireTime 07:35, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

True, but the first grenades in Half-Life were actually in the Unforeseen Consequences chapter, and they were often (strangely) found in offices throughout the facility. --Deathmonkey7 07:37, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

The Glock Exclusion

A long time ago I removed the Glock 17 from the table, but I forgot to explain here why (sorry, my bad): the Marines aren't using the glock as a side weapon against the player anymore, as stated by Raminator. Thanks Mr. Someguy by pointing this! --Conti 04:10, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
