Overview
The Gluon Gun is a prototype weapon built by scientists in the Black Mesa Research Facility. The Gluon Gun fires gluon particles at a high velocity, allowing it to destabilize matter, thus giving it the power to gib almost any NPC almost instantly.
It's destructive power is provided by Depleted Uranium cases and 100 units of this ammunition can be carried, shared together with the Tau Cannon [2].
Primary Function
Hold down the primary trigger to fire the Gluon gun.
Secondary Function
Click the secondary trigger to jiggle the handle. This is merely aesthetic, and has no actual use.

The development of the Gluon Gun's decal trail system, pt. 2: "Updated the system to correct gaps between segments. The system will now project missing points on to the surfaces which allows smoother transitions between different surfaces. Also added the ability to spawn random standard decals."

Trivia
- The Gluon Gun is also commonly referred to as the "Egon". This is because its entity name in Half-life is "weapon_egon", this is a reference to the character of the same name, Egon Spengler, in the 1984 film "Ghostbusters", in which similar weapons are used by the protagonists.
